On Highly Sensitive Spirituality

by Jenna on September 20, 2005

At the TeleGathering last week, we talked about our spirituality. One participant shared a thought that so well fits with what I hear from other sensitive souls that I asked her if I could share it here: “Sometimes I pray, sometimes I cook, sometimes I spend time with the trees — but all of it is spirituality to me.”

How do you nurture your spirituality?

I love to observe spider webs, dew or frost covered. It brings back childhhod memories, but I am like a child in wonderland.

I spend quiet time every morning writing in my processing journal.

I absolutely love the above statement about how spirit fills the space of every day life. I used to think that there was a need to divide the time between daily chores and deep connection to the Divine. In the last 2 years I have started to see how my routines to handle the dishes and laundry are of the same root system as my need for ritual and mystical experiences with the great Universal Energies of Spirit. Though I do still try to find time daily for specific focused prayer and tea time(the two seem to naturally go together) I realize that I am in union with the Divine so where I am is also where All is -and this is perfect timing-no matter what I am doing.

Blessings
Katy
