A sea salt bath is an essential skill for sensitive souls, and is an alternative to an Epsom salts bath. These baths work because the salts are very grounding (think “salt of the earth”) as well as cleansing – they clear away all the toxic, stuck, negative energy that our auras pick up and store from others, or even ourselves. Additionally, by adding essential oils to the bath, your energetic system is further cleared and balanced.
How to take a sea salts bath:
Fill a tub with hot or warm water as you prefer.
Add ½ to 1 cup each of sea salt and baking soda.
Add 5 to 10 drops of an essential oil (let your intuition guide you to know how many drops, and even what kind to choose):
Rose is perfect if you are overwhelmed by emotions, particularly from others, because it balances your heart chakra.
Choose Lavender when you feel generally stressed out or overwhelmed by life; it is very calming and soothing.
Or choose Chamomile to calm and soothe your nervous system.
Dim the lights.
Light beautiful candles and play comforting music.
Soak for at 15 to 20 minutes.
Take a shower to rinse the salt from your skin which can otherwise be drying.
Moisturize your skin immediately – you might apply unscented baby oil while still in the shower.
Alternatives:
If you are unable to take baths due to physical limitations or other reasons, here are a few alternatives:
Soak your feet in water with Epsom salts.
Use a salt scrub in the shower.
Put your hands in a bowl of salt or Epsom salt water.
